I have downloaded the file imgscan.ocx.
Where is this supposed to be placed on my hard drive to use with Office
2007?

That file is part of Kodak Imaging for Windows 2000 or earlier. It has
nothing to do with Office 2007. Not to mention that downloading and
installing ActiveX controls from unknown sources is a very unsafe
computing practice.
