Import a Project to PWA

Hi,

I'm pretty new to Server, not MS Project. I need to be able to export my
projects into Excel because I like the way the Export Grid feature maintains
the WBS. Only problem, I don't know how to import a project into PWA.

Please help!
Thanks!

Hi ProjectUser,

Once you have imported a project plan to Project Server and published it, it
will automatically be displayed in PWA under 'Projects'. First you will see
a list of all your projects, from there you can drill-in to display the plan
for one specific project. Click 'Export grid to Excel' to export the data to
Excel.

Hope this is what you were looking for.

Hi ProjectUser,

To import a project plan simply open Project Professional and connect to the
Project Server. Next, open the MPP (MS Project) file and then click Tools -
Enterprise Options - Import Project to Enterprise Wizard. This launches the
import wizard that will walk you through the process of importing a project
to Project Server.

Regarding the project workspace (project site): Depending on your Project
Server settings (in PWA Admin - Manage SharePoint Services - Provisioning
settings) a workspace is created either automatically or manually by the
admin. Of course you can change these settings according to your needs.

Hope this helps...
