import data to update access

i would like to import data from Lawson accounting software in order to
update amounts. could someone tell me do i need to create a specifice file
in my software and pull it into excel first or do i create a query? thanks!

You can dowload into excell from Lawson and then import into access to do the
calcs.....or...you may be able to do the calcs in excell.
