Import date/time field from text file creates numeric overflow

When I attempt to import or link a text file in Access that has a long
date/time field i.e. 01/06/2005 09:19:05 AM it shows up correctly when
setting the import specs but then shows numeric overflow when you open the
table (NUM#!) Any ideas?
