Import Entourage X database into 2008

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel I'm not having any luck importing my 1.8gb X database into 2008. Part of the problem may be that 2008 does not recognize the X identity. When I check the file type and creator field on the X database they are blank. Is this part of the problem? Does anyone know the right file type and creator codes for the X database? Is it something else? I no longer have X installed on my machine. It's an Intel Mac running Snow Leopard. Can I even install X on it? Will that help?

Thanks,

Hal

Importing from Entourage X is spotty. If you know anyone with Entourage 2004
installed, have them import. Entourage 2008 will have no problems importing
Entourage 2004 Identities.

Do a Get Info on the database file and select open with Microsoft Entourage.
Not sure if this will work properly since you no longer have Office X
installed. It¹s worth a try.

Name: Database
Kind: Microsoft Entourage database

I do import for clients that have problems. If you can¹t find someone with
04 installed, you can contact me off list for help.
