import excel data to display visio map

Hi... I use Visio2000. Does anyone know if I can import Excel data into
Visio2000 to display it on a Visio2000 map?

For example can I import the zip code for Pittsburgh, PA from an Excel file
into Visio to have a colored stencil marker be displayed near Pittsburgh, PA
on a Visio map of the United States?

Is this do-able in Visio2000 or later versions? Please let me know if so
and which version.

I opened Visio 2003 Map with all stencils (landmark, direction,
transportation, etc.) and could not find a MapPoint. Did a search (including
web) and could not find it (nor similar words)

Can you provide more specific direction so I may use "MapPoint"?
