Import-Export?

In what ways do you find it better than Outlook, for example?

That's an interesting question. Kind of like comparing apples to
motorcycles. Both Outlook and Onenote are equally clumsy with wierd
things that don't quite make sense but they are still both much better
than the competition. I stick with Outlook because it has become a
defacto standard and I am tired of bucking the system at the expense of
my productivity.

Is it possible to export OneNote information into a XML format to be used in
a web application or is the information exportable/storable in datatable like
SQL Server or Oracle

I ask this because my Boss wants me to develop an appication that can
capture project information entered into OneNote onto a website/web
application that shows the OneNote project information in Tabular format with
status and so forth on the website

Appreciate the insights

I think this is another case of trying to make OneNote be/do more than it
was meant to do. You would probably be much better off using OneNote to
keep your dynamic, shared, working notes about your projects but not
using it to track actual status. You would be much better served by using
Microsoft Project and Project Server to track status. Compared to the
cost of building and supporting an internal app that is trying to squeeze
blood from a turnip, the cost of Project should be minimal. Project also
has a robust programming interface much more in tune with analysis of
actual "data" in tabular format as opposed to the free form notes format
of OneNote.
