Import from excel into access 2007

This problem is killing me. I have successfully imported data from excel
into access 2007. Whenever I try to sort the data, a box pops up to "Enter
Parameter Value". This does not happen when data is imported into access
2003. I welcome ideas or suggestions on how to get data sorted in access
2007.
