Import from Excel problem

I have a list of names and email addresses in an Excel spreadsheet that I
wish to import into Outlook's contacts folder. The email addresses look
blue in the excel cell and appear to be hyperlinks or smart tags or
something. In any event the cells with the email addresses will not import
correctly into outlook. Only the first letter of each email address comes
into outlook.

Any suggestions on how to solve this problem?

Try exporting a Contact, containing full info, to Excel.
Then in Excel check format/structure of the import and modify the Excel
sheet you wish to import as requ.
