import from express messed up!

I just upgraded to Outlook2002 from outlook express (the
latest version whatver that was). Most everything seemed
to import okay... EXCEPT several of my messages were
somehow stamped with the wrong "received" date - all
today when some of them were months ago. This seems
trivial, but I'm a packrat with lots of mail that I'd
like to actually have IN ORDER. I've thought about
trying to import again, but am afraid then I'd have two
sets of each mail, right?

what happened and how do i fix it? or can i??? :^(
