Import Project with Actuals to Project Server

I saved a local copy of the project and deleted the project from the Project
Server. I removed some items from the local copy, saved the changes, and
closed the local copy of the project. I did verify that the actual hours
were on the project and showed the weekly hours breakdown in the resource
usage view.
In PWA, I switched from managed time periods to non-managed timeperiods and
set the approve timesheets for resources and timesheet approval to deny on
the server configuration page where the tasks were listed. I used the Tools,
Enterprise Options, Import Project to Enterprise. I took the defaults and
all the enterprise resources were in the enterprise resource pool. I
republished assignments.
When viewing tasks from PWA, I see the total actual time reported to the
task yet when I get to view the week the time was posted, it doesn't show
anything.

How do you re-import a project so that the resource weekly time is re-loaded
also?

Gary,
Thank you for the information and reminder to put the version! You are
correct in that I am using 2003.

I have tried the republish and am not seeing a checkbox to overwrite time in
the timesheets. I am continuing to search for this. If you could share more
detail, I would appreciate it.

Lizzie Beth:

Collaborate > Publish > Republish Assignments

In the settings section in the bottom of the dialog, you should see three
checkbox selections, the middle one is "Overwrite actual work entered by
resources."
Select this one and this should push the infromation back to the timesheets.

Gary,
The "overwrite actual work entered by resources" is grayed out and cannot be
selected. I must have overlooked this when working with it yesterday.

Thank you,

I figured out why it wasn't allowing me to do this option. In PWA, I changed
the settings from managed time period to unmanaged time periods prior to
importing the data. I did not close project professional and re-launch after
changing those settings. Once I did that, I was about to use the "overwrite
actual work entered by resources".

Thank you,
Lizzie Beth
