import pst problems

I've had to reload Office 2000. I am now trying to import
the Outlook backup I made, which is a .pst file. I'm
following the import directions, Outlook is performing
the task, but nothing is showing up - I am unable to see
any of my contacts, emails, or folders I created.

HELP! I'm desperate!

thanks, and please reply to: (e-mail address removed)

Do NOT import. Use File->Open->Outlook Data File.

but no joy. Any thoughts?

Thanks,
