Import Spec differences in Other Countries

I have written Access databases for our office in France (I am in the US).
The database uses an import spec for a text file. The import works correctly
on the US version of Access but did not work correctly in the French version.
We resolved it by installing the US version of Microsoft Office at the
facility in France.

Fast forward. I'm now writing databases for our office in Germany. I'm
having the same problem. The German office does not readily have access to
the US version of Microsoft Office. How can I fix the Import Spec so it will
work in "non-US" versions of Access?

Sandy, what does "not work" mean? Was Access unable to find the spec? Did it
find the spec and then give you an error? Did it find it, but import it
"wrong"?
