Import vss and vst from older visio versions

I need Nassi-Schneiderman diagrams for my students. These shapes were
included with older versions of visio, now they are not. I have been unable
to find a way to import them into visio 2003. The file names are
Nassi-Schneiderman.vss and Nassi-Schneiderman.vst. Visio 2003 will not
recognize these files. I assume it is the new tags and file names that are
altered to work with 2003. I have tried help files till I am blue, obviously
I have overlooked something. The two files are in the 1033 folder but update
doesn't see them, repair and detect, nothing seems to make visio see these.
I can put the two files on the desktop and double click on the vst file and
visio 2003 will pop open with the shapes in the left hand window, but visio
will not store the shapes or recognize the files. Any help would be
appreciated.

Visio 2003 uses a Registry-based system to find its content. Putting files
in a particular directory will not work by default. However, if you go to
Tools > Options > Advanced > File Paths, you can specify directory folders
for Visio to look for additional content.
