Import Wizard Problem

Simply trying to import a csv file using the import wizard. Done it a
1000 times before. I receive a message that the "csv file does not
contain any data" yet I can view the data in Excel. The Access file is
in Access 2000 format. I'm running Windows XP Pro with Office XP. I
also tried coverting to Access 2002. All current updates and security
fixes applied. Works fine on other desktops in our office with the same
configuration and on W2000 machines. Have tried reinstalling Access -
over top - did not uninstall first.

Open up the CSV file in something like NotePad. Is there a bunch of empty
lines at the top? It could be confusing things.

I'm not certain I understand your exposition. It sounds as if you have
one particular CSV file which one particular machine won't import.

If so, the next question is, can that machine import other CSV files? If
yes, the problem is related to the one particular file. If no, the
problem probably relates to the machine.

Also:

1) Can the other machines you've tried import the problematic file?

2) You said you got a message "csv file does not contain any data". I
cannot find a single reference on the web or usenet to an error message
containing those words: what is the exact wording of the message you get
(with error number, if any)?
