Important Questions.

Hi, folks:
Can EPMS handle projects with 1M tasks?
Can Project Professional handle projects with 1M task?
Can Project Web Access do everything without Project Professional?
I ask those questions because we have a huge project and need to find a
solutions.

The maximum number of tasks allowed in Microsoft Project is 1 million,
therefore, this is the maximum for Project Server as well. And no, you
cannot do everything in PWA. Your project managers will still need to use
Microsoft Project Professional. Hope this helps.

Is the 1 million maximum number for one project or for the project server.

For each project, though I doubt most PC's would be able to handle a project
with that many tasks due to memory issues. Hope this helps.

Nor could most PMs effectively manage that many tasks. Spending just one
minute per task to define and assign it, the PM would need more than 8 work
years just to make one pass through the tasks.

This reads like a situation that calls for master projects.
