imported backgrounds

Hi, all -
I have 2000, and am having problems with importing
slides. I do powerpoint for our Sunday services, and we
use a "master" slide with a default background. My
problem is, when I try to import, say, an announcement
slide that has a different background, it changes to the
default background. How can I turn off the automatic
match-the-default feature?

While PowerPoint 2000 will show a presentation with multiple masters, it
does not have the ability to create them. Multiple masters were introduced
in PowerPoint 2002.

It is worth the upgrade to move up to either 2002 or 2003, in my opinion.
