Hi, Ellen.
the table does not show up in the list of tables.
The name of the table will not be displayed if user-level security has been
applied and "Read design" permissions have not been assigned to your Access
User ID, or if the table is a hidden table or a system table, and the display
options for "Hidden" and "System" objects have been turned off.
To turn the "Show hidden objects" option back on, select the Tools menu ->
Options to open the Options dialog window. Select the "View" tab and make
sure that the "Hidden" check box is checked. If the table name doesn't start
with "USys" (that's a user-defined system table), then you can leave the
"Show system objects" option turned off. Select the "OK" button to save your
change.
Try to import the table again. Does the table name show up in the Import
dialog window?
HTH.
Gunny
