Hello,
In one worksheet, WS1 I have a text file embedded in the worksheet. In the
Properties for this link I chose for the data to be updated upon opening the
worksheet.
In another worksheet, WS2, I have an index and matching function that looks
for a pair of values in the table imported into WS1 and returns a third
value to WS2.
As a test I saved and closed both worksheets. Then I reopened WS2 at which
time it notified me that I had an external link, and asked whether I wanted
to update. I chose Yes, and it took some time to update.
My question is whether this update when opening WS2 caused WS1 to
effectively open and recheck the original text file. Or must I actually
open WS1 to get it to update?
