I have been trying to upgrade from Outlook Express 6 to Outlook 2002. I have
a .wab file I want to USE or convert or import into Outlook 2002.
I would THINK this is a "normal" upgrade path to go from the free OE to the
(purchased) Outlook. So Microsoft is allowing someone to import address books
from competitor email programs (Eudora, Netscape for example) but NOT their
own? But your statement appears to be accurate, as I have found NO way to
import an existing wab file created in OE 6 into Outlook 2002
Actually, the import of addresses IS "supported" for OE 4 and 5, as those
two appear in the import wizard. I wonder if/when OE 6 will be supported?

Outlook has never used and cannot import WAB files.
Explain more clearly what you are trying to do. Are you expecting Outlook to
import a file created by a different program?

I've copied my old address book to a CD. I'm aware that it is a read only
file and the CD must be loaded into my hard drive. THe file is a CSV.wab
but
it doesn't transfer to Outlook when I go to import. What am I doing wrong?
