Importing data from Excel

I'm currently having a problem importing data from Excel into Project 2000.
I have everything mapped correctly but for some reason Project doesn't bring
in all of the cells and leaves some blank. For example it might say under
task name:
Produce Unit 1
Task 1
Task 2
Task 3
(these should be filled in but are not)

Produce Unit 2

This is confusing to me and I don't know if my problem will make sense to
you either. It seems to only occur on larger files (greater than 1000
lines). Pleae help because this is driving me crazy.
