importing data into project (msp_web_assignments and msp_web_work)

Hi
I am trying to import data into MS project using a dts package that
directly imports the data into the msp_web_transactions and
msp_web_work table. (I am new to MS Project but not SQL Server.) When I
add and publish a task through the GUI interface of MS Project there
are rows inserted into the two SQL Server tables MS_Web_work and
MS_Web_assignments. However if I add rows to the two tables and try to
view them in MS Project the new tasks are not there even thought I am
sure that I have added legitimate data with legitimate resources. Can
anyone advise? Thanks in advance.
