Importing Data

Help, I am trying to import data from excel to access. I have everything as
text put when I try and import it skips one column. The type of error reads
Type Conversion and the field that won't import is the Trailer Serial #.

check and make sure that the data is not a formula
check and make sure the data in access is set to text
while in excel it is set to number.

Access must be a number and Excel is set as a number. How do I import Excel
field to Access field without type conversion error?
