Importing files with .bcr extension

MS Access 97 allows me to import text files with extension .bcr. I have
converted the database to 2000 and now it returns error "You cannot import a
text file unless it has one of these extensions:
txt,csv,tab,asc,tmp,htm,html". Renaming the file is a mess as I work with 24
X 16 files a day.

Any suggestions?

Hi Dirk,

This http://support.microsoft.com/?id=304206 shows how to change the
extensions that Access will accept. The neatest method is the last,
editing the registry (provided you're careful<g>).

Alternatively, this http://support.microsoft.com/?id=306144 includes
code that automatically makes a copy of the textfile with a .txt
extension and imports that.
