Importing formats from excel

I have an excel sheet which contains some data that is formatted in bold and
red. Is there anyway I can retain the formatiing (to differentate between
other data) when I import it into Access.

Can I differentate between the two formats when I run a query?

Kim,

No, whatever information is conveyed by the format differences, you have
to put in a separate column in Excel and import as a separate field.
