Importing from Word to Excel - truncated

When copy/pasting from word to excel long paragraphs/sentences get truncated
(at 255 characters, I think). Any way to work around this bar physically
adding extra line breaks in the Word document?

Not sure about earlier versions of Excel, but Excel 2007 does not
truncate at 255.
