Importing into a Worksheet

Is it possible to import a file directly into an existing worksheet?

I think I know the answer to this ("no") but, then again, I thought I
knew a lot before I starting looking at this ng!

There was an option that was added in xl2k under Data in the worksheet menubar.

In xl2002, it's called data|Import external data

(maybe in xl2k, data|get external data????)

Or you could use your own code. Chip Pearson has some nice code that you could
borrow at:

That is perfect(!) and, I might add, long overdue.
Up until very recently I've been using (and still do, at work) xl97.
Guess I'm going to have to do some "playing around) to see what else is
new (and convince my employer to upgrade as well!).
