Importing into Access 2007 from Access 2003

I am obviously new at Access. I created a database in Access 2003. Since
then my company has switched to Access 2007. I want build on the 2003
database using Access 2007. How do I get the data already in a table in
Access 2003 to a new but similar table, added a field to attach pictures
otherwise the same, in 2007. I tried to copy but that did work. I tried
Import but that created a separate table. I want there to one table if
possible.

One approach might be to make a backup copy of the A03 db, then open it in
A07 and save as an A07 db.

Thanks. That did it. I tried that before but must have done something
wrong because it didn't work. This worked fine.
