Importing into Issues area

My user has an Excel spreadsheet containing a lot of issues that he would
like to enter into the project Issues area without having to retype them.
Does anyone know of a way to import a spreadsheet?

Dean,

If you are using MS Project Server 2003, migrate to the sharepoint site for
the project. Pull up the issues list. There is a button at the top titled
"Edit in datasheet". Press and you can edit your issues in a datasheet
within the Project Web Access (assuming that you also have Excel 2003, it
won't work with a previous version). Format your original issues spreadsheet
to match the columns in the list and then copy/paste. It is the only way I
have found to import or copy from one site to another.
