importing messages

I am trying to import outlook messeges to either outlook
or outlook express but I am having great difficlties. When
I try outlook express the error message that I get
is "messages cannot be imported from MAPI client. An error
has occured." Ihave the old emails in a .pst file. I do
not know if that is the correct format. Any help would be
appretiated I can be contacted on (e-mail address removed)

Use Outlook.

Ihave the old emails in a .pst file.

Fine. Then run Outlook, click File>Open>Outlook Data File (or Personal
Folders File, depending on your version of Outlook) and simply open the
file. Don't try to import it.
