Importing MSP data

Is there a solution to import (rather than cut and paste) selected data from
an exisitng schedule into a new schedule, whilst also replicating the WBS
structure of the original schedule.
Or is there any other solution?

Any help appreiated.
Thank you

Philg,
Yes, cut and paste is probably the least efficient method. Here are a
couple alternatives.

First alternative
1. Create a new blank file.
2. Go to Insert/Project and insert both projects into the new blank file.
3. Select the insertion point summary line of each subproject and go to
Project/Task Information/Advanced tab
4. Unlink the subprojects from the master. You now have both files in
one larger file
5. Delete the tasks you don't want and use drag and drop as necessary

Second alternative
Create a VBA macro to import and interweave the selected data into the
existing file.

Hope this helps.
