Importing outlook data

This is an innocent question.

I have been perusing this board and it appears that many MVP do not
recommend using importing from a pst. I am wondering why. Just asking.

Data duplication, links between data types get severed, etc.

Importing does not include custom views, custom forms, linked contacts and
messes up the modified date. Importing can also mess up the address book
settings in the profile.
