importing outlook file

I am trying to get the "Outlook" file (Office 2000) from an old hard drive
into a new installation of Outlook (Office XP). When I try to open the file
it asks for a password which I no longer have. Is there any work around for
this; i.e. either reset the password or eliminate the password requirement?
