Importing Projects to Project Server 2007

I am using Project Pro 2007 to import the projects to Project Server 2007. I
follow the impot export wizard, import all the local resources to enterprise
and i get the project published to the server. I have a few questions here

1. When the project is published to the server, why is it i see all the
tasks in the project as assigned to me?
2. When i try to re-assign a project, i do not see the Current resource. So
when i try to re-assign i get Access Denied Message.

Can somebody please point me to what is the problem here.

If I follow correctly:

1) The tasks are all showing up on your timesheet? Or the tasks in MS
Project all appear assigned to you in the Resource Usage/Gantt View?

If the prior, I would guess that it's either an issue with the Assignment
Owner field in the Assignment level (Check one of the usage views), or
somehow you have tasks assigned to generic resources. If the latter, just
change the assignments, republish and see how it works out.

2) You try to change the project owner and the drop down doesn't have the
right names? That could be a security issue, and as I recall there may have
been hangups with that with some of the earlier patches (unless I am getting
that confused with the Status Manager field, which is likely). The issue was
that the person had to be logged in to see their name in the project owner
field - come to think of it I am sure that's a Status Manager issue, but
can't remember if it also applied to the Project Owner field.

What patch level are you running on Server?

There is this stuff that my head does not seem to get. I have a project
server in which i have few resources configured in the enterprise pool. When
i import a project to the server i map the local resources in the project to
the resources in the enterprise resource pool. And all done, i publish the
project to the server. Now, When i open up the project i am able to see the
tasks mapped to the enterprise resource. I log off from the server, log in as
the enterprise resource to whom there were tasks mapped. When i go to the
PWA, i see that there are no tasks listed when i click the Mytasks link. Why
is this happening? What is it i am missing? Please let know

Andrew kindly answered your question already, but let's give it another try.
Refer to the following FAQ for steps the Project Server administrator must
complete AND the PM must complete:

http://www.projectserverexperts.com/ProjectServerFAQKnowledgeBase/TasksOnPMsMyTasksPage.aspx

Also, given the very elementary nature of your questions, I would recommend
you take a course or purchase some books on Project Server 2007. Refer to
our company's web site for training and books on this subject at:

Hope this helps.
