Importing Projects w/ Master Projects

I have the duty to import many stand alone project files into the server to begin use completely on the server. The problem that I am running into is that these project files are linked into master files. To make matters worse, there are predecessors and successors within the various files. Does anyone know how to import and publish project files containing inter-project file links (predecessors and successors)? When I tried it the links were not preserved.

Thanks

I've been having similar problems in our environment. We eliminated as many master projects as possible and resorting to using just views through the web access component of Project. The problem with the views however is that you can't get reliable reporting out of them. We do have one master project for our programme but updating this with the actuals is proving to be a difficult task. <see my post>.

Good luck.

To handle this efficiently, you need to establish a process for project
creation including a standardized naming convention and program ID. Create
all projects from templates. Within the templates add an Enterprise
task-level field to carry a link id. Write a macro to create the external
links after you create the projects that belong to the program.
