Importing / reassigning projects to another Project Manager

Is there a way to reassign the PM for a project once it's loaded into
Project Server? The question came up as I was trying to help another PM
load their .mpp file into the server. If I load the project from my system,
doesn't it automatically assign me as the project manager? Is there any way
the entire project can be reassigned to another PM on the system? I'm sure
this comes up in situations where PM's leave a company and an new PM takes
over responsibility for the project, but I couldn't find any way to do this
through the PWA Admin functions. I have an EOC for PM, but it's separate
and not driven off of the Project Manager field in the Project Properties.

Any suggestions?

Hi Daniel,

i guess this is the solution.

Open up the project from Project Server in Project Professional 2003 with
the user account that you want to assign the project manager function to.
Goto Collaborate ==> Publish ==> Republish Assignments and in the dialog box
tick the box "make me the manager".

hope this helps.

In the PWA you can go to projects, highlight the project, goto details
(preferences) and you can enter the new project manager as well.

Greetings
Lidschi.
