Importing Scanned Object -- Size

In an effort to make a catalog, I am scanning pages of
images directing into Word 2000. The images I am
scanning are on a page approxamately 7x9 in. Once
transfered to Word, the images in the Word document must
be the same size as they were prior to being scanned. Is
there anyway to tell Word to keep the images the same
size, it appears to automatically reduce the image. I
have about sixty pages to scan/add, and do not want to
resize each manually to get them the right size.
