Importing Word Styles

A colleague is having a hard time working with the import styles feature in Word. She has brought up the document to which she wants to copy the styles; selected Format, Styles, clicked on Organizer and located the document from which she wants to copy the styles; she has selected all of the styles to be copied, clicked on the Copy button and overwritten the old styles - and still this doesn't seem to always work properly. In fact, it has been her experience that it messes up more frequently than it does work properly. Are there some missing steps that we are not aware of? Any bugs

Margaret Aldis

Try copying three times. This should sort out problems with cascading (based
on) styles. It *may* also sort out problems with numbered styles - if not
you will still have to recreate the numbering scheme again in the target
document.
