The clipboard contains 3 copied items.
I try to use the following alternative methods to paste those items in a
Word file:
1. Left-Click on the item/double-click on the item
2. Right-click on the item, then click Paste
3. Click the Paste All button
a. in the same file wherefrom I copied the items
b. in a different old file
c. in a blank file.
In all these cases nothing is pasted.
This is also true for other Office documents such as Excel files.

Interesting. Just now, when I tried to replicate your problem: I did! But, I
don't have a clue why it did the same thing for me.
However, after closing all Office 2003 applications, and reopening them, the
clipboard suddenly started working correctly. There must be some kind of
glitch with Office 2003. Now that it's working again, I can't replicate. No
doubt, however, it will recur.
