I had encountered a problem. My sheet that was working perfectly i
Excel 2002 is not working in 2003 at all. More than that...
I was doing a polynomial regression using LINEST()
For my data set trend line on the chart show me coefficient for polyno
but LIEST is unable to calculate them (unbelivable).
I check this by emitating the LINEST function manualy and had th
correct results, that is proving that my data set is normal.
And again ... the same data sheet is perfectly working in 2002.
I read that microsoft does some "improvements" to this function
changing from least sqare method to QR decomposition. I thin this i
the case.
Does anybody encounter this problem? And any thoughts would b
apreciated.
