In a function, How do I copy the cell color as well as text

All I want to do is to say for example that Cell A1 is equal to Cell G8 and
have A1 contain the same text as G8 and have the same fill colour

In cell A1, put the formula =G8 and that will cause A1 to display the same
VALUE as is in cell G8. It will not transfer the cell color though.
However, if cell G8 is colored by Conditional Formatting, then that same
format can be applied to A1 and it's color will follow suite.......
