In Access 2003, what exactly does the "Linked Table Manager" do? I would
apprecaite any help. I am an experienced use of Access and am trying to help
a student. I'm alos trying to update my outline. Using the help functions in
Access 2003 or online does not give a description of the function. I would
apprecaite any help on this.
Thanks!

I'm not sure how it looks in ACC2003, but the functionality has been the same
for a number of versions.

If you have a front-end user interface and back-end data in two different
databases, you have likely used Get External Data to Link (as opposed to
Import) your tables from the data storage DB to the User Interface DB.

The Linked Table Manager will display these linked tables and give you the
ability to re-link them to the same or a different database. In the User
Interface DB, the links would then be changed and data in the newly linked
back-end (data storage) DB will be available.
