In Dire Need Of Help

Hi All,

I am having a problem that I do not seem to be able to solve nor find anyone
who can give me an answer.

Many times while trying, I am unable to open IE6. I finally opened it and
immediately downloaded Netscape7, believing that I just could not deal with
having to reboot each time I wish to use my browser. I did the same using
Opera. Same thing with both Netscape and Opera, they won't open up
completely, they all show that they are trying to pull a page but eventually
I get the dreaded message that it cannot find it.

I reboot, they all open once (sometimes). If I close them, then that's it
for opening again, I have to reboot the machine. My OS is Windows XP Home.

I have disabled my ZoneAlarm, disabled my Norton's, all to no avail.

Can anyone help? I have tried to go to the IE newsgroup and receive no
response. What is wrong?

Thank you in advance to anyone that might be able to shed some light on this

Not really a Word problem!

Check your Network Properties, TCP/IP Protocol Properties that you have
'Obtain an IP Address Automatically' checked and that under Internet
Options, Connection tab, Settings that Automatically Detect Settings is
checked and that the Proxy Server dialog is unchecked.
