In Excel, can you change uppercase letters to lowercase

I am working on a spreadsheet with numerous text entries in all uppercase and
would like to change to lowercase. Is there a simple solution to this matter?

With QWERTY in A1, enter =LOWER(A1) in B1 to get qwerty
