I am reviewing a quote and the sender is uses the following format
"=+C16*D16", I'm not sure of the significant of the =+ . I have always used
“=C16*D16â€

Your way of writing a formula is correct. The + is probably a leftover from
Lotus. It doesn't do ant harm, but is not needed.

Most likely, the creator of the formula was an old Lotus user, where the +
sign was the start of formulas in that program.

Unnecessary in XL.

Can be removed if desired.
