In need of help

I am unable to publish from front page to the remote server. It wont accept
my password. I did a test and I am able to publish files from another ftp
program and login and transfer just fine. Any ideas what to do?

by ftp'ing you may have corrupted the server extensions and hence the ability to
publish via http: in frontpage.
contact your service provider/host to have them reinstalled.

You shouldn't FTP with a third party program or with Frontpage's FTP feature if
you intend to use the server extension features. FTP is there in cases where you
don't have server extensions.

I've called my host and they've reinstalled the server extensions and I still
cant publish via fp.

describe, in detail, the steps you have taken and the
specific error messages you have received.

I recently upgraded to xp pro. I than made corrections to
web pages. Attempted to upload to site via fp2003 does
not work it keeps popping the login screen up. Called my
host they reinstalled fp server extensions and gave me a
new password. After that I was still unable to login. I
than was able to upload via ipswith ws_ftp pro with no
problems. Ia am at a loss as to what to do. Help..

Your use of FTP has corrupted your FP SE
Have your host reinstall them and don't FTP to the site again

Once they are reinstalled try opening your site in FP using
File Open Site and entering your location URL as http://www.yoursitename.com/
- if that fails try browsing to the home page in IE and using File Edit w/ FP
If that fails there is a hosting server permissions problems - contact your host
If you can get in, try opening your local PC based site and using File Publish Site,
- then in the Remote Site properties re-entering your URL per above (also select the FP SE option)

You can also from your online site open in FP set your remote site to your PC location
