In Outlook, how do I substitute Wave Sound files I've made for th.

I use OUTLOOK 2003 with windows xp pro. I have all the latest updates for
OFFICE and Windows
I located OUTLOOK's default NOTIFY Wave Sound file in C:\WINDOWS\Media and
made my own Wave Sound files there.
I 'created a rule' in OUTLOOK to send files from certain people to specific
folders I created for them. Each rule had two values. The 'from -people or
distribution list-' value and the 'move it to the -specified- folder' value.
Stuff from Mary goes into the Mary folder etc. That has worked flawlessly for
many months.
I added another value to each rule last week. To 'play -a sound-'.
Specifically a unique Wave Sound file I made in C:\WINDOWS\Media, when emails
came into the specific folders. 'Some mail is here from Mary' etc. Small
files. That doesn't work great.
The emails still go to the correct folders but my sounds don't play more
than once. When my sounds have played, they played as desired, on queue. My
sound may or may not work once, then the default sound resumes.
I rechecked the 18 individuals folders I created and the rules for each of
them to be sure the 'play -a sound-' box is checked and the correct Wave
Sound file is listed in the rule. All is well there. I clicked APPLY, OK and
all that stuff.
In C:\WINDOWS\Media I can play each file exactly as the default NOTIFY Wave
Sound file is played. My files are Wave Sound files as is the NOTIFY file.
Windows Media Player is the default player for all these files in
C:\WINDOWS\Media.
My files have a Bit Rate: 176kbps. They are 33 KB to 67 KB. The default
NOTIFY Wave Sound file is, Bit Rate: 795 kbps, and is 116 KB. If that tells
me the file plays at a certain speed and is however big then so be it. I am
not a computer whiz. My audio sample size is 8 bit, the NOTIFY file is 16
bit.
