in place activation & visio drawing control

I have a couple of questions one is regarding to inplace activation and one
is related to drawing control.
1. I have tried to open a vsd document on internet explorer from web using
in place activation. Its opening when it is just the document created
through normal Visio. If I am trying to open a Vsd file which uses our Add-on
code it’s not opening. I am getting lots of exceptions. What is that I need
to do changes to my code that I make it work.
2. Regarding to use Visio Drawing control. If I am writing an activex
control to render documents created through our Add-on can I embed Visio
drawing control in it?
Basically my requirement is I want to view my files on internet explorer
from web using in place activation. Do I have to use Visio drawing control in
compulsion?

If you just want to *view* Visio files, then you could use the Visio Viewer
instead of the control. This was designed for use in IE!

I just do not want to view the visio files and but also want to manipulate
them through web.
I may want to operate wtih menu actions and different shapes.
I am able to do that with normal visio documents but not with additional
documents created which user our Addon. For example when i drop a shape the
Addon's code associated with that shape is running to exceptions.
I need to know can i design an activex control for that.
