In powerpoint 2003 where is the package for CD command

M

Michael Koerner

It is on the File dropdown list. Is the CD on your computer just a player or
can you burn CD's?

Do you see a chevron at the bottom of the file menu? Click it and see if
package for CD shows on the expanded menu options.

Yes and I have already done all the obvious things like check for updates and
read help etc. I wouldn't be asking here unless I had exhausted all options I
can think of

Try this:

Right click somewhere on the toolbar and choose "customise"

Commands tab

Choose "file" and scroll down the list of commands to the right. If package
for cd is there open the main file menu and drag the command on to it.

That was a great idea that I hadn't thought of. But guess what, when I did
that the package for cd command does not appear on the list of commands that
I could drag to the toolbar. I purchased Office Pro 2003 with a new laptop
and then also installed it on my desktop & interestingly enough I checked my
laptop and the package for cd command is there but I can't find it anywhere.

Go to Start|Control Panel|Add-Remove Programs. Hit "change" Office 2003.
Select the option to add or remove, and on the following screen, check the
option for "advanced cusomization." Choose "package for CD and PPT Viewer"
from the list under PowerPoint.

You'll probably need your install CDs.
