Publish for CD problems

My ppt2007 presentation incorporates several videos and audio files and the
total package requires 6 gb of memory. So, in packaging for CD, data DVD
actually, I carefully divided my package into two parts so that the total
memory of each package did not exceed 4.7 gb, the data DVD limit.

When I then used the "package for CD" in ppt 2007, I found that each
assembled "CD" folder exceeded 4.7 gb of memeory. I then examined the
assembled folders and found that the "package for CD" feature durplicated
some video files, assigning slightly different names, duplicated some other
files, and also duplicated some ppt files-assigning different names to each.
When I deleted the duplicated files (ones with different names), I then
found that I could no longer link to my videos. Strangely, not all video
files were duplicated, just some of them-there does not seem to be a pattern
here.

Of course, the duplicated files mean that I exceed the memory capacity of my
disc, I need fo find a way around this problem or else my project is doomed.
Why is the packaging for CD duplicating files?

I welcome any suggestions or questions you may have to clarify my problem.

Thank you for your suggestion. Unfortunately each DVD must stand on its own,
not reassambled on another PC. The presentations are essentially
independent. I am now pursuing th epotential that I may have linked a viedeo
to two sources, giving rise to the duplicate names. Will keep you informed.

Problem is solved; there were duplicate links that were causing all the
problems. All is fine now.
